Canadiens roll past Flyers 5-0

Tomas Tatar and Jesperi Kotkaniemi each scored twice, Carey Price stopped 30 shots and the Montreal Canadiens rebounded without coach Claude Julien to rout the Philadelphia Flyers 5-0 in Toronto and tie the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series at a game apiece.

Julien was home in Montreal a day after a stent was placed in a coronary artery.

The team said doctors expect a full recovery.

Flyers goalie Carter Hart was pulled after allowing four goals in two periods.

Islanders 5, Capitals 2: Brock Nelson scored the go-ahead goal on a second-period breakaway 15 seconds after Alex Ovechkin tied it, and New York beat Washington to take a 2-0 lead in the East series in Toronto.

Flames 2, Stars 0: Mikael Backlund scored Calgary’s second short-handed goal in two nights, Cam Talbot stopped 35 shots in his second shutout this postseason and the Flames beat Dallas in Edmonton, Alberta, to take a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference series.

Canucks 4, Blues 3: Bo Horvat scored on a breakaway at 5:55 of overtime to give Vancouver a win over defending champion St. Louis and a 2-0 lead in the West series in Edmonton.

Avalanche 3, Coyotes 2: Andre Burakovsky scored late in the third period to help Colorado grab a 2-0 lead in the West series in Edmonton.
