Reds players and staff were tested for the coronavirus again Sunday as Major League Baseball tried to determine whether more than one Cincinnati player has been exposed to the coronavirus.
Games between the Reds and Pirates set for Saturday and Sunday were postponed after the player tested positive Friday.
The Reds expect results of their latest tests Monday, when a decision will be made whether they travel to Kansas City, Mo., for a series that is scheduled to begin Tuesday.
• Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn went on the team’s COVID-19 injured list after he reported minor coronavirus symptoms Sunday. He has not tested positive for the virus.
Top hitters to IL: Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu and Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette, who rank first and second in batting in the American League, went on the injured list.
LeMahieu, who has a .411 batting average, has a sprained left thumb. Bichette, hitting .361, has a right knee strain.
