Venerable Dorchester roller-skating rink seeks donations to stay afloat until it can reopen

Dorchester’s Chez-Vous Roller Skating Rink, which dates to the 1930s, has launched a GoFundMe page to help it pay bills while it remains closed due to Covid-19.

With no foreseeable reopen date, we are asking our community for help in these uncertain times.

Your donation will assist in managing expenses with hopes to sustain Chez-Vous until we are allowed to open our doors again. From March until August, we have maintained as best we could. We ask for your help so that we can survive this pandemic and come together as one big family once more.

Chez-Vous’s Rhoades Street rink, behind the B-3 police station, dates to the mid-1930s, when it was known as the Morton Arena. In 1935, it got a new name: Chez Vous Rollerway.
